TO APPLY FOR TUITION ASSISTANCE AT CHRISTIAN BROTHERS HIGH SCHOOL:
We encourage any family who has questions about their ability to pay full tuition to apply for tuition assistance. Filling out and submitting the Student Aid Form to PSAS (Private School Aid Service) is the first step in receiving tuition assistance. In the current school year 2011-12, 300 families are receiving $1.6 million in tuition assistance.

Forms for the 2012-13 school year will be posted online in January of 2012. Follow the instructions carefully and provide copies of the required documentation. Student Aid Forms are also sent home with students on the day of the placement exam (January 21, 2012). We strongly encourage you to apply early. Incoming freshman do not need to wait for an acceptance letter in order to begin the application process.

    How are awards determined?
Christian Brothers contracts with Private School Aid Service (PSAS), a third-party company that specializes in evaluating a family’s ability to pay tuition based on a variety of factors including family size, income, net worth, number of children for whom the family pays tuition and other data. Christian Brothers uses the evaluation provided by PSAS as the basis for distributing available funds.

How do I apply for tuition assistance?
Families begin the process by filling out and submitting an application form to PSAS. All information is kept strictly confidential. Application forms will be available on our website and in the front office in January 2012.  A $24 processing fee is required with the application. Detailed instructions are included with the PSAS application form.

    When do I apply?
Mail your completed application to PSAS by:
February 6, 2012 for new students
February 28, 2012 for returning students

When will I be notified whether or not I will receive tuition assistance?
Incoming freshman will receive notification by mail in mid-March, prior to Freshman Enrollment Night. Returning students will receive notification by mail in April.

Whom do I contact if I have more questions?

Please contact Mrs. Vicky Campbell, CB’s Student Account Coordinator, at (916) 733-3644 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you have specific questions about completing the form, please contact PSAS directly at 800-722-2577 (CB’s school code is 4401).
