Our Mission

The mission of the Christian Brothers High School library media center is to help students:
Learning for College, Learning for Life, Serving God, and Serving Others.

Our Databases

- These online databases are rich resources which include many items that cannot be found using popular search engines, such as Google, Yahoo, etc. We’ve added these databases to our collection for just that reason.

- Students and faculty will need user names and passwords to access these databases. Please stop by the Library Media Center or email us for that information.

- Online databases available to CBHS students & Faculty/Staff include:

Hotmath: This database explains the odd-numbered homework problems in math textbooks, the ones where the numerical answers are already in the back of the book. Hotmath shows how to obtain those answers, step-by-step, with self-paced tutorial solutions.

Curriculum Video on Demand: This database provides you with videos on a variety of topics.

NetTrekker: This is a differentiated instruction tool, searchable by keywords or a hierarchical search.

ABC CLIO: This database provides information regarding American Government, American History, Issues, and more.

InfoTrac: From the Gale Group. This database is essentially a collection of 20 databases in one. it contains full text resources for research in social sciences, natural sciences, language arts, health, history, economics, politics, government and more.

Gale Virtual Reference Library: These are eBooks, a collection of some of CB’s reference books in electronic form. It uses the same password as all Gale products.
