Our Lady Falcons Volleyball Team took on the Vista del Lago Eagles last night in their second league game of the season. The Falcons started the game neck and neck in the first set, with Maddie Yeager ’18 keeping the ladies going with her kills. Unfortunately, we barely fell short losing the set 25-22. At the start of the second set, the Falcons began to fall short, but quickly picked up the pace with Mary Kate Monnat ’18 setting them up. It was a nail-biter at the end of the second set, but the Eagles stuck it out winning 25-23. The Falcons went into the third set determined to make a comeback. Keeping their lead the entire set, our ladies came out with a win in the third set. The Falcons kept their high energy in the fourth set with killer hits by Sophia Overstreet ’20 and pulled out with an impressive win of 25-13. They went into the fifth and final set hungry for victory, and it showed in their performance. Kill after kill our ladies brought the thunder and came out with a win in the fifth set winning the game. A stellar performance from the Lady Falcons, and they look to keep their perfect league record when they take on Mira Loma next Tuesday.
