Falcons Declaw Panthers, Look Ahead To Round 2

This past Tuesday our very own Lady Falcons took on the Benicia Panthers in the first round of the 2017 Sac-Joaquin Section Division III playoffs. The third seeded Falcons made quick work of the 14th ranked Panthers, winning the first two sets handily at 25-17 and 25-10. The Panthers attempted to claw their way back in the game down two games to one; however, the Falcons were able to fend them off and win the final set 25-23. The Falcons outplayed the Panthers with dominating senior performances from front row hitters Synclaire Warren ’18, Aeron Davies’18, Maddie Yeager ’18, and our CBTalon.com player of the game Mary-Kate Monnat ’18. Moving on to the quarterfinals, the Falcons will take on the 6th seed Vanden on Thursday night at home at 7 PM. The Lady Falcons will look to continue their recent streak of five wins, as they have not lost since October 14th. They are also looking to add another blue banner as they have won three of the last four section championships. There will be free pizza to all students who attend, so come out and support your Lady Falcons.
