Last Tuesday our Lady Falcons took on Rio Americano at Sac City. Both the Falcons and the Raiders were undefeated coming into this game. The Lady Falcons started strong in the first half, but Rio player Emma Davis scored by bouncing the ball off of the goalie’s hand and into the goal. The Falcons noticeably lost steam in the second half but tried to remain optimistic, with shots by Emma Thompson ’18 and Maci Bakarich ’19. Sadly, neither was successful and the Falcons remained down 1-0 for the remainder of the game. The Falcons fought hard but could not come through with a win against Rio Americano. On Thursday, the girls took on El Camino at El Camino high school. The Lady Falcons fought hard but ended the game with a 0-0 tie. The Falcons almost scored with a breakaway by Emma Thompson and a good shot by Caeley Kelly ’18. Even though the girls could not come through with a win, they hope to come back with a game against Casa Robles at Sac City Tuesday at 7 PM.
