Rugby Faces Tough Test

By Colin McCarley & Owen Hunt

Over the weekend the Christian Brothers Men’s rugby team took on Center Parkway for the second time this season. Both teams opened up with strong plays, but the match quickly turned to Center Parkway’s favor as they came out on top 48-19. CB was successful in building up in the back, but lost the ball due to great play at the breakdown from Center Parkway. CB had 2 tries from Mitchell Berger ‘18 and a try from Jeremy Fernandez ‘18. Colin McCarley ‘18 made both of his conversion attempts. Although the Falcons were a few feathers short of a full wing, they had a great showing against a highly competitive team and are excited for their upcoming game against Jesuit High School on Saturday March 3. Come out and support our boys as they take on Sac PAL for an exhilarating match at home.
