Brothers Rugby Falls Short Against Rival

By Colin McCarley

This past Saturday our Men’s rugby club took on the Jesuit Marauders in a highly competitive match. The Falcons have been anticipating this game since the first day of practice. The match started with Jesuit exploding out of the gates scoring in the first minute. They were able to get a penalty kick in before Brandon Guillen (‘20) was able to get the Falcons on the board. Jesuit had an incredible drive, scoring 27 straight points before going into the half at 35-5. The Falcons picked up their game finding a new surge of energy. Jeremy Fernandez (‘18) put it in the try-zone twice within ten minutes of the half with Jack O’Hearn (‘18) putting in the conversion. Jesuit put up two more tries to make the score 49-17, before Aidan O’Malley (‘19) had a strong run pushing through the wall of Jesuit players for a great try. The game ended with the final score of 49-24. O’Hearn and Trey Price (‘18) were awarded man of the match for their stellar performances. We are proud of our boys. Come watch them play on Saturday here at CB against Cougar Club.
