The Falcons suffered another tough loss on Saturday’s annual Holy Bowl, losing to Jesuit 46-7. The Falcons had a great start to the game thanks to some outstanding defensive plays by Freddie Fiske ’19, who had a sack and an interception in the Falcons red zone to stop a Jesuit touchdown. The first quarter was close, ending 7-0, but Brothers lost control of the game in the second quarter. The Marauders went on a scoring spree with 26 unanswered points in one quarter. Things looked down for the Falcons heading into halftime with a 33-0 deficit, but Falcon Force was still optimistic and never lost faith in the Brothers.
Luke Jones ’20 took the opening kickoff to the end zone for 80 yards to make the score 33-7 in the first minute of the second half. The Brothers played good defense to end the game only allowing 13 points in the second half. The Brothers offense never picked up momentum as Luke Jones kickoff return were the only points scored. The Falcons look to bounce back against Capital Christian at 7 PM on Saturday. This is a key game for Brothers as they will be opening up Capital Athletic League at home in search of another league title. You can watch the game live at YouTube.com/KBFT.
