The Falcons competed in the platinum division of the Sierra Shootout Tournament last weekend at Del Oro High School. In the first game, Christian Brothers played Del Oro and came out on top 15-3 as Sam Noonan ‘20 dominated with five goals in the game. The Falcons used momentum from their win to dominate Buhach Colony. The boys won 11-3 with Colin Quinn ‘20 and Caleb Quinn ‘20 both recording seven steals. Noonan tacked on another four goals in the game to make his tournament total nine.

Christian Brothers then faced Division II opponent Ponderosa and beat them in a nail biter 9-8 with Nick Piper ’19 and Noonan leading the way with three goals apiece. The win over Ponderosa propelled the Falcons into the championship against Division I school, Woodcreek. Unfortunately, Brothers lost but kept a close game, losing 7-5. Christian Brothers finished second in the tournament, making a name for themselves in the world of water polo. The Falcons next game is on friday at the Woodcreek Invitational where they will look to take home gold.
