Women’s Golf Advances to Section Championships

By Coach Barsanti

CB played at Bing Maloney Golf Course yesterday afternoon and worked hard for a 2nd place finish in the CAL#2 Tournament.  CB’s 445 represents a big improvement and reward for their hard work and concentration over the past three weeks.  The victorious result ensures CB’s place in the section championship at Rancho Del Rey Golf Course in Atwater on October 22.  The team was carried by the strong plays of Carly Krause ’20, Alison Oliviera ’22, and Bella Esquivel ’21.

The Falcons challenged themselves in this tournament to improve their plays from CAL #1’s 474, to break 450 as a team and to beat Rio, their season rivals. The team accomplished all three goals with poise, class and strong play.  Golf represents long hours of mental and physical play. It is a laborious game that requires discipline, confidence and performance under pressure.  And the young Falcons beat these hardships in this tournament to take the victory.  Now, the team is ready to begin their journey to become the champions and take the section title. Great performances from Anna Horan ’21, Alison Oliviera ’22, Bella Esquivel ’21, Carly Krause ’20, Grace Paterson ’20, Carina Singer ’20 and Kat Maebori ’20.  Go ladies GO!
