The Falcons played Sonora yesterday in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division III Men’s Water Polo semifinals on their trek for a third straight section championship. The game was a rematch of the past two section championship games and for the third straight time, Sonora was no threat to the Falcons, as Brothers brushed the Wildcats off their shoulders, beating them 14-4. Sam Noonan ‘20 was hard to miss yesterday, scoring four consecutive goals in the first quarter, killing all of the confidence Sonora could muster up, knowing the were going up against the first seed. He tacked on three more goals before things were said and done in Modesto Tuesday morning. Christian Brothers will take on the two seed Oakdale, which is another favorable matchup for the
Falcons. Caleb Quinn ’21 performed well on defense and his crazy fast shot will make him a favorable candidate for locking up Oakdale’s best player. Christian Brothers will take on Oakdale at Woodcreek on Saturday at 11:30 am, where the Falcons will compete to win their third straight section title.
