Our Men’s Cross Country headed to Woodward Park in Fresno to conclude their season with the CA State Finals Race. After a hard fought season, our boys took 9th out of 25 teams. Isaiah Jimenez ’19 took 29th, Nevin Afong ’19 placed 45th, and Enrique Verschoor ’19 took 46th out of 212 runners to contribute to 9th place overall. This concludes the Men’s Cross Country 2018 season. We are proud of our seniors who consistently preformed well and took the team to State. They are going to be deeply missed by the CB community and their imprint in the CB Cross Country Program will never be forgotten as shown by their two Section Banners.
Our Women’s Cross Country team did not compete this weekend. However, as the only CB female runner who qualified, Sophomore Malia Gay ’21, ran this weekend as an individual. She took 101th place out of 209, setting a new personal record for herself at 20:24. Our Women’s Cross Country has a promising future led by Gay.
