Women’s Holy Cup Battle

By Sophia Mattos

This past Monday, the Women’s varsity soccer team took on the Saint Francis Troubadours. St. Francis started the game with a frantic pace, but CB was able to hold off the furious attacks with sports center-like dives and a total of ten saves by Junior goalkeeper Lauren Towne ’20. Although our Falcons had limited shots on goal, the team showcased their passing skills and strong defense. Senior Annemarie Barbour ’19 threatened the Troubadours with her aggressive defense and quick attacks on the left side.  Both teams played well, and despite the 0-0 tie, Christian Brothers won the overall battle. They look to bring home a win on Wednesday as they take on the McClatchy Lions.
