Women’s Soccer Crushes Capital Christian

On Tuesday night, the Christian Brothers Women’s Soccer team had their seventh league game of the season as they took on the Capital Christian Cougars at Sacramento City College. This was the second meeting between the Falcons and the Cougars with CB coming out on top in the first matchup with a score of 4-0. On Tuesday, the Falcons got on the board early with a forceful goal by sophomore Lexi Rakela ‘21. Taylor Hammond ‘19 and Sara Cruz ‘20 would go on to score two more goals before half time giving them a three goal lead.

During the second half, the Falcons scored again with a goal by Ashley Valerio ‘19 about twenty minutes in. In the final minutes of the game, Annemarie Barbour ‘19 closed out the game with an amazing shot from outside of the box to make the final score 5-0. Throughout the entire game, the Falcons displayed great chemistry through their dynamic passing patterns.
