Men’s Soccer Secures A Playoff Spot After Beating El Camino

By Dylan Tibon

On Thursday night, the CB men’s soccer team had a Capital Athletic League match against the El Camino Eagles at home. The Falcons came out of the gate hungry for a win, with goals from Hunter Dierlam’ 20 and Colin Quinn’ 20 in the first half. Quinn was able to secure yet another goal in the second half, bringing the final score to 3-1 in favor of the Falcons.

We spoke to Dierlam after the game who said “We didn’t play our best game of the year, but we got the result we wanted and are now guaranteed a playoff spot.” We also had a chance to talk Scott Cotter ’20 who said “Dub Season.” Obviously the boys are feeling great after this win and their playoff spot.

The Falcons will be looking to repeat their success on Tuesday night when they face the Vista Del Lago Eagles. The Falcons know they will need to show up ready to play if they want to take down the Eagles. Make sure to come support the Men’s soccer team at Sac City College at 7:00 for senior night.
