Mr. Alfredo Acosta, Jr. joined the Christian Brothers staff in 2020 as the Assistant Principal of Student Life and Instruction. He most recently served at the Alum Rock Union Elementary School District in San Jose, CA for 20 years – one year as Principal, three years as Vice Principal and 16 years as a teacher. Prior to teaching in the public-school system, he, a lifelong Catholic, taught at a private Catholic school in the Philippines for two years, before moving to the Archdiocese of San Francisco, where he taught religion, science and math classes.

In addition to 23 years in education, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a major in Health Science from the University of the Philippines, a master’s degree in Educational Administration from National University, a credential in Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development for the University of San Diego and a Tier 2 Clear Administrative Services Credential from the Association of California School Administrators.
