<p><b>Real Men Sing and Women&#8217;s Choral Festival- CSU, Sacramento, Sept. 21 and 28</b></p>
<p>CB choirs participate in these events at CSUS aimed at growing choral skill and community by working with young men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s choirs.</p>
<p style="text-align: left"><strong>Catholic High School Benefit Concert -(March 2018) Date, location and time TBA</strong></p>
<p>Christian Brothers choirs join choirs from St. Francis and Jesuit High Schools</p>
<p><strong>Reno Jazz Festival- April 26-28, 2018 University of Nevada, Reno</strong></p>
<p>Our vocal jazz choir, CB City Rhythm, competes with other high schools from the Northern California and Nevada region. This festival has celebrated more than 50 years of vocal and instrumental jazz at the middle, high school, and collegiate levels.</p>
<p><strong>Anaheim Heritage Festival- March 15-18, Disneyland</strong></p>
<p>CB looks to continue its success at the Anaheim Heritage Festival after receiving three gold medals, including one First Place gold last year. &nbsp;Graduate Eden Kolb &#8217;17 also received an individual performance award, and the school received the Spirit of Disney Award, which is voted on by all festival service and support staff to recognize the most courteous and spirited school.</p>

<p>Selected instrumental students will spend the day performing in our community at local K-8 schools as well as the Shriner&#8217;s Hospital and Eskaton Village.</p>
<p><strong>San Francisco Performance- March 6, Ghirardelli Square</strong></p>
<p>CB Jazz Band will serenade the citizens and visitors of San Francisco</p>
<p><strong>Spring Sacramento Band Tour- March 15</strong></p>
<p>Instrumental students will spend the day performing at local K-8 schools and cap the day off with a performance at the Railroad Museum.</p>

<p><strong>Student Television Network Convention- March 15-18, Nashville, TN&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>Our media arts students travel to Anaheim to create and compete over this three-day period. Students compete for broadcast and film excellence awards, participate in training workshops, and take a crack at the Crazy 8&#8217;s competition in which they have 8 hours to plan, shoot and edit a media package on a given topic. &nbsp;Last year, senior Aidan Smith-Fagan &#8217;18 received an Honorable Mention in Broadcasting, and CB took home</p>

<p><strong>Lenaea High School Theatre Festival- February 2-4, The Harris Center at Folsom Lake College</strong></p>
<p>The Lenaea Festival draws students from across the Northern California and Nevada region for workshops and competition in monologue, duo scene, song, and one act play performance categories. Theatre professionals serve as judges and provide quality feedback and work with closely with student performers to improve their work. Last year, Ian Ferrell &#8217;17 and Jacob Cherry &#8217;18 earned silver medals for their duo scene.</p>

<p><strong>Fall Tribute Show to Kitty Hudson- December 8 2017, Mak Design Studio, Davis</strong></p>
<p>Twice every year, a Sacramento artist comes to CB to work with visual arts students and discuss their medium. &nbsp;Students then create artwork as a tribute to the work of that artist, which is displayed and available for purchase in a studio, theatre, or art store in Sacramento. &nbsp;This year the show will be held at Mak design studio in Davis on December 8 from 5:30-8pm.</p>

<p><b>Bowl-A- Thon &#8211; February 2017, CBHS room 305</b></p>
<p>Every year, CB student, staff, and parent volunteers contribute dozens of decorated ceramic bowls for the Sacramento Food Bank&#8217;s fundraiser, Empty Bowls. &nbsp;The Bowl-A-Thon happens early one morning, with Mr. Boriskin throwing bowls and volunteers providing decorations. &nbsp;Anyone is welcome to join the fun!</p>
<p><b>Crocker Self-Portrait Show &#8211; Crocker Art Museum, April-May</b></p>
<p>The Crocker Art Museum hosts this event for high school artists from the Northern California region as an exploration of self. &nbsp;Media are widely varied, making for a fascinating exhibit. &nbsp;CB Artists Make contributions every year.</p>
<p><b>Spring Tribute Show &#8211; University Art, Midtown, April</b></p>
<p>Like the fall show, students will meet and work with a local artist and create artwork as a tribute. &nbsp;Their work is displayed and available for purchase at University Art, located at 26th and J streets.</p>
