David DJ Bowen

Mr. DJ Bowen joined the administrative team at Christian Brothers High School in 2023. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics, a master’s degree in the art of teaching, and a single subject teaching credential, all from St. Mary’s College of California.

Ramón Trejo

Ramón Trejo joined the CB community in 2023 as Co-Dean of Students. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and teaching credential from California State University, Chico.

Marlena Norman, M.A. PPS

Ms. Marlena Norman joined the Christian Brothers High School community as Dean of Students in 2023. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in education from California State University, Sacramento. Prior to her arrival at CB, Ms. Norman was a school counselor for over 20 years.

David Perry, Ed.D.

Dr. David Perry began his tenure as principal in July of 2023. He is a proud graduate of St. Mary’s College of California where he earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees. The focus of his dissertation research was building inclusive learning environments in Catholic schools, specifically around supporting teachers to welcome students with identified learning disabilities into their classrooms. He credits the Christian Brothers and the Lasallian Catholic charism with inspiring his call to work in education. Prior to joining the Christian Brothers High School community, Dr. Perry served as president of Cristo Rey High School in Sacramento and St. Patrick-St. Vincent High School in Vallejo. He also served as principal of St. Andrew School in Florida and St. James School in Davis. Dr. Perry is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for St. Mary’s College of California, where he co-chaired the President Search Committee and chairs the Student Life Committee. Dr. Perry is the father of two CB students Kaylin ’24, and Charles ’26. and recent graduate Drew ’23.

Crystal LeRoy, Ed.D.

Dr. Crystal LeRoy serves as Christian Brothers High School’s President, the fifth president in school history. She has considerable experience as an educator and administrator, most recently serving as Superintendent/Chief School Business Official of Kenilworth Public Schools in Kenilworth, Illinois and adjunct professor at Northeastern Illinois University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Northwestern University and attained her master’s degree in cultural education and policy studies from Loyola University. She later earned her school business official certification from Northern Illinois University before earning her doctorate in educational administration and supervision from Loyola University.

“I am deeply honored and profoundly humbled to be invited to serve as President of Christian Brothers High School,” says Dr. LeRoy. “The opportunity to unite my Catholic faith with my vocation as an educator is a dream come true. To do so in the rich and transformative Lasallian charism of the Christian Brothers is a blessing and a trust that I hold sacred. I so look forward to working with the wonderful faculty, staff, families, alumni and friends of the school to ensure that CB continues to be a strong, vibrant and faith-filled community for generations to come.”

Dr. Bill Iliff ’76

Dr. Bill Iliff ’76 joined the Christian Brothers High School faculty in 2011. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology/psychology from UCLA, a doctor of dental surgery (DDS) from UCLA, a master’s degree in science education from Montana State University, and a graduate professional certificate in genetics and genomics from Stanford University. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, Dr. Iliff teaches science courses and moderates the Wellspring Breakfast Service Club and Future Medical Professionals Club.

Anna Fernandez

Ms. Anna Fernández joined the Christian Brothers High School faculty in 2011. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Chicana/o studies, a credential and master’s degree in Education, all from UC Davis. Ms. Fernandez has served as a classroom teacher, assistant director of the Lasallian Student Life Office, and as Assistant Principal of Student Life and Instruction and is the moderator of La Raza.
