Juanita Patterson ’81

Ms. Juanita Patterson, M.S. PPS, joined the Christian Brothers High School staff in 2022. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UC Davis, and a master’s degree in counseling with an emphasis in school psychology. Ms. Patterson worked as a school psychologist for 25 years in the public education sector. With deep CB/Lasallian ties, Ms. Patterson is a proud graduate of Bishop Manogue High School and mother to three CB graduates. In addition, two of her three children and her husband are graduates of St. Mary’s College of California – Go Gaels! Ms. Patterson is the club moderator for the Belonging Group and the Bring Change to Mind club.

Michelle Timm, M.A., PPS

Ms. Michelle Timm, M.A., PPS,  joined the Christian Brothers High School staff in 2022.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Sonoma State University and a master’s degree in counseling with pupil personal services. Ms. Timm has worked as a school counselor since 1996. In her off time, she loves spending time with family and friends, working with her horses, gardening, Netflix, walking her dog, and traveling.

 

Kirk Purdy

Kirk Purdy grew up in a large family in Nebraska and South Dakota and graduated with a B.S. in History Education and an M.A. in Counseling, both from The University of South Dakota.  He has worked in education for more than 34 years, and over 31 as a Catholic school counselor, 18 here at Christian Brothers.  He and his wife, Suzyn, have two daughters, McKenna and Latavia, who are both CB graduates.  He enjoys playing golf, watching sports and spending time with his family.

Emily McDougall

Emily McDougall is new to the Christian Brothers counseling staff. Emily earned her BA in Psychology from U.C. Davis in 1996 and a MA in Counseling from the University of San Francisco in 1999.  Emily is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), specializing in child and adolescent mental health. Emily enjoys running, any opportunity to be creative, vintage shopping, and spending time with her family.

Melissa McClellan

Melissa McClellan graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Exercise Science and received a M.S. in School Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University and joined the CB community in the 2010-2011 school year. As the Director of College Counseling for Christian Brothers High School, she guides students through the application processes and collaborates with college admissions counselors. Ms. McClellan serves as the AP coordinator and moderates the Scholars Program, California Scholarship Federation, and the Send Love in a Letter club. She enjoys playing soccer, running, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
