Student Retreats

Frosh Retreat

A daylong retreat held locally, off-campus with the theme “Who Am I?” Frosh students explore their unique personalities, gifts and talents, as well as their connection to the Lasallian family. The retreat is led by Senior Retreat Leadership Team members. This is a mandatory retreat; all frosh must attend. There is no fee for this retreat. This year’s retreat was held at St. Anthony Parish on Monday, September 10 and Tuesday, September 11. Frosh students are assigned their retreat day based on their B set class.


Sophomore Retreat

A mandatory, all class, one-day retreat (8:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.) at the Sacramento State Alumni Center with the theme “Quest – In Search of My Values.” The retreat is led by Senior Retreat Leadership Team members. Students should be dropped off directly at the CSU Alumni Center. This year’s retreat will be held Friday, January 11th.

*There is no fee for this retreat. Students should bring a bagged lunch and a beverage.


Junior Retreat

This is an overnight retreat held at the Jesuit Retreat Center in Applegate, CA with the theme “Journey – Reflecting On My Life and Faith.” The retreat is led by Senior Retreat Leadership Team members. Students leave at 3:00 p.m. on Monday and return to CB by 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday. This is an optional retreat; please click here to access the permission form and visit the Ticket Hub to register. Payment is due at time of registration, either a deposit ($45) or the retreat fee in full ($90). The fee goes toward covering a portion of the bus transportation, lodging, meals and retreat materials. The Junior Retreat is an excellent precursor to the Senior Kairos retreat.

Junior Overnight Retreat is offered on the following dates for the Class of 2020:

Senior Kairos Retreats

The Kairos retreat is a four-day retreat focusing on the unconditional love of God for us as seen in the relationships and people He sends us in our lives. It also explores who Christ is in our lives and how we are called by Christ to bring his love to others. It is led by a group of student and adult leaders. The Senior Kairos retreats are held at Zephyr Point in Tahoe or at the Jesuit Retreat Center in Applegate.

Members of the Class of 2019 are invited to participate in the following retreats.
Kairos 72: September 25 – 28, 2018 at Zephyr Point in Lake Tahoe (Retreat is FULL)
Kairos 73: November 6 – 9, 2018 at Applegate (Retreat is FULL)
Kairos 74: January 15 – 18, 2019 at Applegate (15 Spots remaining)
Kairos 75: March 19 – 22, 2019 at Applegate

Cost for Kairos retreat is $180. Fee goes toward covering a portion of the bus transportation, lodging, meals, t-shirt and retreat materials cost. Due to limited space, registrations will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Once retreat fills, students will be placed on a wait-list.
