A Vision for Our Future: CB Unveils Strategic Plan

Sacramento, CA – April 30, 2023 – Christian Brothers High School today announced the release of its new five-year strategic plan, designed to advance the school’s mission and vision. A Vision for Our Future is a roadmap that will allow the school to build upon a legacy of excellence that started back in 1876. The plan was crafted after more than a year of collaboration with the CB community, including faculty, staff, parents, alumni, the Board of Trustees, and other stakeholders, and is designed to solidify Christian Brothers’ position as the leader of faith-based, college preparatory education in the Sacramento area.

“Through this work and this five-year plan, we have developed a roadmap that will help us sustain our commitment to our Lasallian mission for another 150 years,” said Dr. Crystal LeRoy. “We are so grateful to everyone who helped create this plan and to those who will continue working with us to see it become a reality.”

“This five-year plan is our North Star,” said Interim Principal Julian Elorduy ’03. “It informs the work of our teachers, it affirms the critical importance of our Lasallian Catholic charism, and it stands as a sign of faith to all as we continue the important work of inclusivity, belonging, and truly preparing our young people to leave to serve.”

The new strategic plan, which covers the period from 2022-2027, identifies the following nine strategic goals:

  1. Develop a Five-Year Plan for the Academic Program
  2. Build the Best Lasallian Catholic School and Faculty Possible
  3. Promote the School’s Catholic Identity
  4. Optimize Enrollment
  5. Create a Culture of Philanthropy
  6. Instill a Community of Belonging on Campus
  7. Enhance and Maintain Campus Facilities to Meet Diverse Needs
  8. Secure the Financial Health and Future of the School
  9. Ensure the Effectiveness and Sustainability of the School’s Leadership Model

Each strategic goal includes objectives and priorities, measurable action items, and timelines to guide the school’s progress and ensure accountability.

“If you loved Christian Brothers, then you’re going to love this plan. Because the idea is to take Christian Brothers to the next level. At the center of CB is our care for our students. We want every student, and by extension every family, to have a positive experience of being seen, heard, and loved every day,” said Brother Nick Gonzales, FSC, Visitor, District of San Francisco New Orleans.
